Тема 18. All people have problems. Do you have any problems with your friends, parents or teachers and people around you? If so, how do you solve them?

All people have problems. Some of them have many problems; the others have one or two problems only. Young people have as many problems as the grown-ups.

Our age is so strange. We know that we are on the way to become adults. But this way is so hard. And we teenagers usually stay alone with our thoughts; because nobody even we ourselves understand what is happening around us. When a person is young he or she survives more vividly all the problems, for teenagers nearly everything becomes a tragedy. Love, friendship, conflicts these are all the things that go hand in hand with youth. Every young generation has more complicated problems than previous. And maybe nowadays teenagers have more problems then other generations. And this difference awakes misunderstandings with parents. As for me, I have problems with my parents sometimes. It seems that my parents are too tiresome and dull in their demands. And also they often interfere into my life. Parents always say that I am lazy and can’t do anything except rest. And there is a great problem: parents also always doubt in my independence. But I love my parents and I try to understand them and not to drive to a quarrel. I prefer not to prove my rightness to my parents because they will stay on their opinion anyways, so it is easier to keep silent in the right moment. Sometimes I have problems with my friends also. I have a lot of friends. We share common interests, have the same hobbies and visit the same places. But I know what is a treachery and I try not to trust in all hundred per cent to friends. I’m quite sociable and calm so it is easy for me not to reduce a situation to a big problem.

There are also many other problems: alcoholism, smoking and so on. There are many youth organizations in our country, witch unite young men on different principles. Members of every organization have ons own world out looks. Each of them has their own moral qualities. There are some informal organizations, for example: skinheads, hippies, punks and so on. Now there exists the problem of misunderstanding between different youth groups. We also face the problem how to spend our free time. We can do it in different ways. Some of teenagers spend their free time in different night clubs. Other young people spend their free time in the streets. As for me, I spend my free time at home or somewhere with my friends.

So as you see it’s very difficult to be young nowadays as indeed it always was. But you only can be young ones and some wonderful things can happen to you only when you’re young. So it’s better to enjoy youth while it lasts.
